Neighbors get together to celebrate Night to Unite


There wasn’t an age requirement to celebrate. Thomas, with the help of his mom Shannon Campbell, was able to enjoy the bouncy house at this West St. Paul party.

Night to Unite often sees entire blocks shutdown because of festivities like this one on Felix Street in West St. Paul.

It wasn’t just neighborhoods hosting National Night Out parties. This party took place at Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church in Inver Grove Heights.

Neighbors gather at Northview Park in South St. Paul and play giant lawn games.

Northview Park provides the perfect spot for those who live near the area to catch up with neighbors.

Aug. 2 was National Night Out or Night to Unite. Northern Dakota County cities got in the spirit and threw their own block parties. It was a night when neighbors throughout the state got to know one another and promote community safety. Police and fire departments as well as city officials stopped by many of the local block parties.
