Bazaar and craft sale in Mounds View

Messiah Lutheran Church in Mounds View will host its Bazaar and Craft Sale on Saturday, Nov. 5, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Crafts, baked goods, Christmas cookies, quilts, rugs and more will be for sale. In addition, there will be antiques and fun things for all ages, as well as lunch. Weather permitting, there will be a demonstration of blacksmithing set up on the lawn of the church.

A queen-sized quilt called "Strolling in the Garden" will be sold with the proceeds going to Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch.

Messiah is located at 2848 County Road H2 in Mounds View. Proceeds of this sale go to the church's community projects and all are invited to attend.


Eagles Club hosts breakfast Nov. 6

The New Brighton Eagles Club will host a breakfast from 8 to 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 6. The menu includes all-you-can-eat pancakes, plus your choice of sausage or ham; or attendees can choose eggs, toast, sausage or ham. Fruit, orange juice, coffee and milk are included with the $6 price for the breakfast. Side orders of eggs and hashbrowns are also available for an extra charge. Fall Concert in St. Anthony to take place Nov. 6

St. Anthony Civic Orchestra's Fall Concert will take place Sunday, Nov. 6, beginning at 3 p.m. at the St. Anthony Community Center, 3301 Silver Lake Road N.E., St Anthony MN 55418. Admission is free and the program includes Rossini's Barber of Seville Overture, Strauss' Tales of Vienna Woods, and Beethoven's Symphony No. 3 "Eroika." For more information, call 612-788-3516.


Historical program with author Lee Burtman

The Ramsey County Library system is partnering with the Shoreview Area Historical Society to present an event featuring local author Lee Burtman, who will discuss her new novel based on historic events from the World War II era. The program is funded by Minnesota's Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund. It will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 7 at the Shoreview Library, 4570 Victoria St. N.
