Tartan senior filling the net

Scoring goals is something Sam Lindahl has become quite adept at, be it on the lacrosse field or the hockey rink. Lindahl helped lead Tartan High School’s boys lacrosse team to the state tournament last spring and this winter is leading the boys hockey team in scoring.

Lindahl, a senior, had quite a two-game stretch last week for Tartan. In wins over Park-Cottage Grove and Mahtomedi, Lindahl notched a pair of hat tricks while piling up eight total points.

Against Park, Lindahl scored four goals and added an assist as the Titans won 7-4. Two days later, it was another hat trick as Lindahl found the back of the net three times in Tartan’s 6-0 blanking of Mahtomedi.

The seven goals nearly doubled Lindahl’s season output as he went from nine to 16 in just two games. He also has 17 assists for 33 total points.

In last year’s lacrosse season, Lindahl led Tartan with 45 goals and 33 assists in 13 regular-season games. He tacked on 18 points in three section games, including the game-winner in overtime in the section final against White Bear Lake.
