Shots fired in Payne Phalen neighborhood leave one dead and two injured
Second shooting incident in four days on East Side
A 16-year-old girl is dead and two others are injured after shots were fired into a home in the 500 block of Case Ave. E. the night of Feb. 1. The victim has been identified as Sadeya Hall of St. Paul. Police have released few details about the incident.
St. Paul police officers were dispatched to the scene at about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Payne Phalen neighborhood.
When officers arrived, they found three injured people. St. Paul Fire Medics were called to the scene and one juvenile female victim was pronounced dead by paramedics.
An 18-year-old male and 17-year-old female were transported to Regions Hospital to be treated for their injuries.
Homicide investigators are interviewing witnesses and working to determine what the circumstances were that led to the shooting incident, the second shooting in four days on the East Side.
The Ramsey County Medical Examiner is working to identify the young person who was killed and determine her exact cause of death.
St. Paul police continue to investigate and are asking anyone with information regarding the incident to call the St. Paul Police Homicide Unit at 651-266-5650.
