“Sexuality and Aging — Fact vs. Myth”

Oakdale Wellness 50+ and Discover Your Fitness presents “Sexuality and Aging — Fact vs. Myth.” At this event Dr. June LaValleur and Dr. Leonardo Perez will discuss how to remain sexually healthy as we age.

Also, they will focus on a wide range of issues such as relationships and sexual activity after serious medical diagnoses. This event will be Sept. 19 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Oakdale Discovery Center, 444 Hadley Ave. N., Oakdale. Please register by calling 651-747-3860.

Oakdale Wellness 50+ is a volunteer team that aims to engage our community residents age 50 and older in health-focused activities.

Free Citizen Science Pollinator Training will be offered at Maplewood YMCA/Community Center and Fish Creek Natural Area on Sept. 9 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The rain date for the outdoor portion is Sept. 10. Firetrucks at the Library

 The firefighters from the Oakdale Fire Department will visit the Oakdale Library on Thursday, Sept. 14, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. The fire truck presentation includes safety tips, equipment demonstrations and fire trucks on site for participants to explore.

 This event is perfect for preschool and school age children, but all ages are welcome. No registration is required. This event, which was rescheduled from July, may be cancelled due to weather. The Oakdale Library is located at 1010 Heron Ave. N.
