Dakota County Historical Society to host genealogy “using family history databases” presentation

The Dakota County Historical Society will host a genealogy presentation called “Using Family History Databases” by Mary Wickersham on Thursday, Sept. 19, 2019. The presentation will take place at the Lawshe Memorial Museum, 130 Third Ave. N., South St. Paul. Admission to the presentation is free.  The presentation will be located in the upstairs meeting room of the museum.

Visitors will learn how they can use a variety of family history databases in their own genealogy research. The databases will include paid subscription services such as Ancestry, as well as free options like Family Search.

Wickersheim has been doing family research for 20 years and started working as a professional genealogist in 2003. Wickersheim is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists, Irish Genealogical Society International and the Minnesota Genealogical Society.
