The South St. Paul City Council approved Aug. 20 a request to seek assistance from Dakota County to address the impacts in the city related to housing support facilities, more commonly known as group homes.
On Aug. 11, folks headed to Fleming Field in South St. Paul for the annual Relay for Life. Those in attendance helped raise money for the American Cancer Society by walking laps.

Police still searching for suspect
A fight between two groups of men on a party bus turned deadly in the early morning hours of March 24 outside an Inver Grove Heights AMC movie theater.
A Catholic priest pleaded guilty to third-degree criminal sexual conduct for having sex with a woman during a “private Mass” at her parents’ Mendota Heights home in summer 2010.
