Research shows that students achieve greater academic success when parents feel connected with their child’s school.

The Work-Based Learning programs at North and Tartan high schools offer experiential learning that connects a student’s career goal and classroom learning with a productive work environment.

North High School senior Colin Barrett has been named a Commended Student in the 2018 National Merit Scholarship Program.

North teacher nominated for Teacher of the Year


Stephanee Goeken

North High School’s Stephanee Goeken, 39, is among 132 nominees for the Minnesota Teacher of the Year award. 

Goeken is a student support specialist and has been a faculty member at North High since 2005.

Talented high schoolers take the stage


The show choir performance concluded the Northern Lights Showcase. In its 5th year, the showcase included a talent show, refreshments and silent auction with 280 items. Five energetic songs were part of this year’s theme “Money Can’t Buy You Happiness.”.
