Light Up Lake Elmo - photos

Downtown Lake Elmo transformed into a winter wonderland of Christmas trees Dec. 14 as the Light Up Lake Elmo event took shape and visitors warmed up with hot cocoa and cider. Santa's Scene at MAHS

Hay wagon rides with Santa took place out at the Bruentrup Heritage Farm during the Maplewood Area Historical Society Holiday Open House Dec. 7. Classic 1960’s Christmas music, lunch, snowshoe demonstrations, and s’mores by the campfire were also part of the afternoon.

Cultures in motion - Taste of Weaver Photos

Japanese Dance with Taiko Drum was one of the many cultures highlighted at the annual Taste of Weaver held Nov. 21. Eleven ethnic performances took center stage. A potluck followed. Louai Abualreesh, second from left and now in middle school, came back with his friends for a Palestinian folk dance, a line dance for weddings and joyous celebrations. Louai performed in second grade with his older sister and has performed at the Taste of Weaver since. Alijah Ellingson, Mubaraq Adedayo, and Creshawn Prior made their moves in a hip-hop dance.
