The guinea-pig store
Given the small site they had to work with, Cub officials didn't have much choice but to build the 60,000-square-foot Cub Foods at Ames Lake just slightly smaller than the grocery chain's 75-store average of 64,000 square feet.

But the company makes clear that No. 76, which opened Oct. 31, is supposed to be its smallest store yet, in a way.

It took us years to celebrate the first birthday of Cub Foods
Cub Foods has been open for a year and all I can say is thank you! Thank you, to the residents of this community that continue to support the businesses in this area and make this neighborhood a wonderful place to live and work.

The continuation of a journey
It is hard to believe that one year has passed since the opening of the Cub Foods Store in Phalen Village. This project was, and continues to be, an integral part of the overall City vision for the Phalen neighborhood plan and an important amenity to the residents in the area.
