Letter: A proud legacy
Ninety years ago, Carrie Chapman Catt first proposed a League of Women Voters to "finish the fight" and work to end all discrimination against women. Precinct caucuses are coming up Feb. 2 in Minnesota. Even though it is not a Presidential election year in the United States it is very important every United States citizen makes it to their precinct caucus.

Letter: Not 'just another day off work'
As a proud Iraq veteran who is preparing for Veterans Day, I find it tragic that so many of my fellow Americans view Nov. 11 as just another day off work. Soldiers sacrifice their time, family, and sometimes their lives to defend this outstanding country.
