Talented high schoolers take the stage


The show choir performance concluded the Northern Lights Showcase. In its 5th year, the showcase included a talent show, refreshments and silent auction with 280 items. Five energetic songs were part of this year’s theme “Money Can’t Buy You Happiness.”.

Review writers win 2 awards in Better Newspaper Contest


Aundrea Kinney and Mike Munzenrider were presented with Better Newspaper Contest awards Jan. 26 for stories, respectively, about senior alcoholism and the police shooting of Philando Castile.

The Review staff collected two writing awards Jan. 26 in the Better Newspaper Contest sponsored by the Minnesota Newspaper Association.
