Lake Elmo votes to keep mayor at 2-year term

A proposal to extend the term length for Lake Elmo’s mayor from two years to four was narrowly defeated on Jan. 17 when the City Council voted 3-2 in favor of retaining the existing policy.

County receives gift of safer roads during holiday DWI crackdown

Oakdale Police along with the Cottage Grove, Forest Lake and Woodbury police departments, as well as the Washington County Deputies, gave the gift of safety this holiday season by arresting 69 impaired drivers during a “Safe & Sober” crackdown, Dec. 16-31.

Titan girls trample Spartans

The Tartan Titans hosted the Richfield Spartans in a Classic Suburban Conference girls basketball tilt Jan. 10. The Titans played the role of less-than-perfect hostesses as they sent the Spartans packing with a 73-36 loss.
