It’s been a decade since the city began building the wind turbine towering over the North St. Paul electric utility building at 2400 Margaret St. 

In that time, the turbine has become a city icon.

At 9:30 p.m. on Feb. 20, Maplewood police, with the help of regional law enforcement backup, arrested a Maplewood man for threatening police with an alleged “explosive device.”

St. Paul’s Urban Roots celebrating 50th anniversary

That particular partnership includes an urban farm at the Village on Rivolli housing development in Railroad Island, where the high tunnel seen above was installed in 2018.

East Side St. Paul youth nonprofit Urban Roots will spend 2019 celebrating its 50th anniversary.

South St. Paul council approves study to look at transferring library to county system


file photo South St. Paul has initiated a study that will look at transfering the city-owned and operated library to the Dakota County Libraries system.

The South St. Paul City Council unanimously approved a memorandum of understanding with Dakota County on Feb. 19 to study transferring the South St. Paul Library to the county system.
